Curbside Direct Online Grocery Shopping FAQ

ValuMarket’s Curbside Direct is Louisville’s original online grocery shopping platform that allows customers to buy all their favorite grocery items online in a safe and convenient way. Simply build your shopping list, submit your order and our personal shoppers will do all the work. All you have to do is stop by our store during your chosen pick up window and all your groceries will be ready to go! Or we can deliver them directly to your home!

Pick Up

Simply pull up to the call box outside our store and let us know you are here. Your personal shopper will retrieve your order for you and load it into your vehicle. You won’t even have to unbuckle your safety belt!

Pick up is available for a fee of $5.95 USD.

Delivery

Should you want us to bring your groceries to you, we can! Upon checkout you’ll have the option to have us deliver your groceries to you. Delivery fees are an additional $7.00 USD as long as the delivery address is within 3 miles of the nearest ValuMarket. Delivery distances beyond 3 miles will add an additional $1.00 USD per mile (rounded up to the nearest mile) to your delivery fee. Additional mileage will not display on your online order. Delivery fee will be adjusted by your personal shopper prior to completion of your order and discuss with you. Delivery will be scheduled to maximize efficient delivery to as many customers as quickly as possible. Your Personal Shopper will call you to give you a more accurate delivery window once orders have been processed. In the comments section, we recommend putting an availability window during which you would be home to receive your order. This will help with optimizing delivery schedules.

Mother Nature

It is our hope that ‘Mother Nature’ will never prevent us from delivering your groceries to you in a timely manner. If there are going to be weather related delays or restrictions, ValuMarket’s Personal Shoppers will contact customers who have already placed orders for delivery and make other suitable arrangements. In the same token, please let us know if you will be delayed in picking up your order.

Payment Method

Our orders are processed via a secure Internet payment service, and we currently accept only debit and credit cards in USD (MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover) for online orders. We cannot keep your card numbers on file at the store. Pickup and Delivery orders not paid for at the time of checkout will require the card to be present before we can transfer groceries.

Refund Policy

If for some reason you need to return a product, please call the store directly.

Paper and Digital Coupons

You can always use manufacturer coupons with your order. Digital coupons loaded to your Xtra Valu Rewards card will be automatically applied to qualifying items when we process your order. All paper manufacturer coupons should be mentioned and listed in the comments section. We will apply them to your order as we process it and then collect the coupons from you at time of pick up or delivery. For our complete coupon policy, click here.

Canceling An Order

In order not to be charged a service fee you must notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled pick up or delivery time. Orders canceled after the deadline will be charged a service fee.

Product Pricing

From time to time, routine store price changes are made. We strive to keep these prices consistent with what you see online. Routine store price changes will be applied to your order and the receipt that you are issued at the time of delivery or pick up will reflect the actual in-store prices. Please keep in mind, our weekly specials run on a Wednesday to Tuesday time frame. So, if you order on Tuesday for a Wednesday delivery or pick up, you will receive the sale prices for Wednesday. All of our sale prices require our Xtra Valu Rewards card. Be sure and enter your card number on the My Account page of this website to receive all the benefits our Xtra Valu card provides. You can find this number on the back of the card/key fob.

Random Weight Pricing Policy

For produce, deli and meat items that are priced by the pound, your ValuMarket Personal Shopper will select the items that most closely match the weight you wish to purchase. Consequently, the total dollar amount of your order will vary slightly. Be assured however, you will only be charged for the product you actually receive.

What If The Product I Want Is Not Available?

In the checkout process we will ask you if you would like to allow for substitutions. Our goal is to never be out of stock on any item. However, if an item is out of stock, our substitution policy is to give you that same item in another size or brand, at the cost of the replacement item. If you would like to accept our substitution policy, just check the box provided.

Special Instructions

You can add special instruction to items in your shopping cart by simply click the ‘Add Notes’ link below the product. During the checkout process you will also be given the opportunity, in the comments section, to add any other special instructions or comments for this order. For example, you can specify that you would like “Green Bananas” or “Extra Lean Turkey”. Also, if you want to allow for substitutions on all products except, for example, the milk you have selected, you can note that as well.

What If I Cannot Find What I Am Looking For?

Our online store is always growing. If you cannot find an item but you would like it added to your order, simply type your request in the ‘My Comments’ box in the check out process. If we have the product in stock, we will gladly add it to your order. This is also a great place to suggest items that you would like us to carry and we will try our best to get it into our inventory.

Freshness Guarantee

Providing you with the freshest foods for your family is a primary goal. Your groceries will be meticulously selected by your ValuMarket Personal Shopper and stored in the appropriate conditions until your groceries are picked up or delivered to you. Pick Up And Delivery Of Alcoholic Beverages

Product orders containing alcohol will be available for pick up only. The person picking up the order must provide valid proof of age. Under current Alcohol Beverage Control laws, we cannot deliver alcohol to your home.

Pick Up And Delivery Of Tobacco Products

We cannot process orders for tobacco products of any kind online. If you need these products and are picking up an online order at the store you can come in and purchase them with age appropriate identification in a separate transaction.

Our Customer’s Privacy

Our customers’ privacy is of the utmost importance to ValuMarket. We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information about individual members (such as name, address, email address) to third parties. During registration and checkout a user is required to give their contact information (such as name, phone number and email address). This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest and to get in touch with the user if we have trouble processing an order. We value our customers and we take seriously their privacy concerns.
